About the 73rd Sporto Svente
The 73rd Sporto Šventė will be held on the Gold Coast in Queensland and will be hosted by Sydney Kovas from 27 to 30 December 2025. Participating clubs also include Adelaide Vytis, Brisbane Baltija and Melbourne Varpas.
Sports being offered at the 2025 Sporto Svente:
Kovas plans to offer the following sports:
- Basketball – men's, women's, mixed, and junior divisions
- Volleyball – mixed
- Golf
- Billiards
- Beach volleyball
- Beach games (relay race, tug-o-war and others)
- Swimming – kids/ juniors
- Tennis
- Table Tennis
- Darts
** All sports are subject to enough participants nominating
2025 Sporto Svente venues
Basketball, Volleyball and Table Tennis will be held at:
- Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium, Sports Drive, Runaway Bay
- Venues for other sports will be advised in coming weeks.
More information
Šventė will start with Susipažinimo Vakaras and short Opening Speeches on the evening of 27 December 2025 at a venue to be advised. Sporting events will run on 28, 29 and 30 December when the closing ceremony and award presentations are made. There will also be at least one other night time social event to get everyone together and have a chance to meet other Lithuanians from across Australia.
So that people can travel back to meet family and friends, there will be no formal New Years Eve function arranged.

Do you want to participate at the 73rd Sporto Svente at the Gold Coast?
To participate at a Sporto Šventė you must meet two mandatory criteria:
- You must have Lithuanian Heritage (at least one Lithuanian parent or grandparent or be the legal partner (spouse/ de-facto) to a person of Lithuanian Heritage.
- You must be a paid, financial member of SLSK KOVAS (or another ALFAS sports club). Become a Kovas member HERE
Do you already have a team?
Provided each player meets the šventė entry criteria, if you would like to nominate your entire team to participate at šventė, each player must first become a Kovas member and then we can register you as a SLSK Kovas team.
