About the 72nd Sporto Svente
The 72nd Sporto Šventė will be held in Adelaide, South Australia between 27 and 31 December 2024 and will be hosted by Adelaide VYTIS Sports Club.
Sports being offered at the 2024 Sporto Svente:
Adelaide VYTIS have advised they plan to offer the following sports:
- Basketball – men's, women's, mixed, and junior divisions
- Volleyball – mixed
- Golf
- Billiards
- Futsal – mixed
- Netball – mixed
- Swimming – kids/ juniors
- Chess
- Tennis - men's, women's, mixed doubles
- Table Tennis
- Darts
- Orienteering – kids/juniors
** All sports are subject to enough participants nominating
32nd Australijos Lietuviu Dienu Festival (ALD) - Adelaide 2024
The 72nd Sporto Šventė in Adelaide is also being held alongside and in co-operation with the 32nd Australijos Lietuvių Dienų Festival (ALD) between 27 and 31 December 2024.
Typically the ALD offers a wide range of Lithuanian activities including:
- Folk Dancing,
- Song Festival,
- Art Exhibition,
- Youth Concert,
- Literature Concert,
- Australian Lithuanian Women’s Social Services Forum,
- Turgos (Market day),
- Federal Council (Krašto tarybos) meetings,
- A New Year's Eve celebration
- Australijos Lietuvių Skautų Rajoninė - Australian Lithuanian Scouts camp is also normally held in early January

2024 Sporto Svente venues
We have been advised by Adelaide VYTIS that Basketball, Volleyball and Futsal will be held at:
- St Clair Recreation Centre, 109 Woodville Rd, Woodville, South Australia (also see the map at the bottom of this page)
- Venues for other sports will be advised in coming weeks.
Do you want to participate at the 72nd Sporto Svente in Adelaide in December 2024?
To participate at a Sporto Šventė you must meet two mandatory criteria:
- You must have Lithuanian Heritage (at least one Lithuanian parent or grandparent or be the legal partner (spouse/ de-facto) to a person of Lithuanian Heritage.
- You must be a paid, financial member of SLSK KOVAS (or another ALFAS sports club). Become a Kovas member HERE
Do you already have a team?
Provided each player meets the šventė entry criteria, if you would like to nominate your entire team to participate at šventė, each player must first become a Kovas member and then we can register you as a SLSK Kovas team.
