- The 71st Australian Lithuanian Sporto Svente is being hosted by Melbourne Varpas and will be held in Wagga Wagga on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River in the Riverina Region of NSW from Friday 17 November to Sunday 19 November 2023.
- At minimum, Kovas expects to have the following teams:
- Men's basketball
- Mixed Men & Women's basketball
- Junior basketball
- We may have a Women's basketball team
- We may have a Mixed Volleyball Team
- All individual sports such as Billiards, Golf and Tennis are welcome.
What sports are available ?
Melbourne Varpas will confirm the final sports that are available at the 71st Sporto Svente. At this point in time, the following have been confirmed:
- MEN'S BASKETBALL
- WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
- JUNIOR BASKETBALL (U11 AND U15 - subject to numbers)
- VOLLEYBALL - MEN'S AND MIXED
- FUTSAL
- TENNIS - Singles and Doubles
- TABLE TENNIS - Singles
- BILLIARDS
- DARTS
- GOLF
- Please note that some events (Tennis, Table Tennis, Billiards and Golf) will only proceed if there are sufficient registered participants.
If you are interested in playing Tennis, Table Tennis, Billiards or Golf, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can advise Varpas and venue bookings can be made.
Susipazinimo Vakaras - 17 November
To welcome all participants to the 71st Sporto Svente, Melbourne Varpas will host Susipazinimo Vakaras on Friday 17 November.

Want to participate at the 71st Sporto Šventė?
To participate at a Sporto Šventė you must meet two mandatory criteria:
- You must have Lithuanian Heritage (at least one Lithuanian parent or grandparent or be the legal partner (spouse/ de-facto) to a person of Lithuanian Heritage.
- You must be a paid, financial member of SLSK KOVAS (or another ALFAS sports club). Become a Kovas member HERE
